Ordered a lomo saltado for takeout. It was ready faster than expected and tasted delicious even after I got stuck in traffic and couldn't eat it right away. The only downside is it's PRICEY! Almost $20 for a lomo which means I can't come here as often as I'd like to

Not too impressed with the food I had today at local restaurant I live by. I had better tasty Peruvian food before and this doesn't come close. The customer service was okay, the cleanliness is okay, until a waitress cleans the floor while you eating. They really need some upgrade on the floor since it's crack.

Anyone who frequents this place should have their blood pressure tested.

This place had so much potential but I should've know better since it was directly shares a lot with a gas station.

I've had Peruvian food before so I was expecting something really good. But instead I got a load of salt with some food on the side.

Pollo completo: the skin was burnt almost to a crisp. The wings were almost unrecognizable due to the intense heat and the meat itself was dry. Yet the pieces of skin that weren't completely charred and the meat tasted salty.

Chaufa de pollo: unbeknownst to me getting the chicken chaufa was a mistake of epic proportions. It contained chicken bits that were over cooked just as the rotisserie chicken was. It's a Peruvian-Chinese fried rice dish so I expected some salt but I got way more than necessary. So just imagine, salty dry chicken mixed into a salty rice based dish.

Chaufa con churrasco: see chaufa de pollo about the rice part of this dish. The piece of steak you get looks nothing like the one in the picture on the menu (not that that one looked all that great). You would expect a thicker piece of quality meat, but instead you're served a thin low quality piece of cow.

I was hoping the green picante sauce would help to correct this culinary fiasco but it didn't.  The more I ate the food the more apparent it was becoming that I was slowly killing myself (read: salty af). I was rather dehydrated the next day...

Maduros: they were thicker than you typically get at a Spanish restaurant but they looked and tasted good. Until you got to the middle that is, where it was still raw. That solves the mystery as to why other restaurants don't cut them do thick.

Yucca: who knew this $5 side dish would be the only good thing I got after spending $100. It was one of the only things that was cooked correctly and wasn't drowning in salt. In fact, it didn't have any on it.

The French fries also were not salted. Guess they figured you got enough with everything else they served. It was refreshing.

The lemonade was fine but I think most Americans would liken it to detergent.

Well, after dropping $100 on all this health endangering food. I thought I could save it by slathering chimichurri all over it, not a chance. The dry meat wouldn't even soak any of it up. The salt was not going to retreat.

So I chucked it all minus, the only thing I could eat without risking hypertension, the yucca because I was too afraid to even give it to a dog.

This is definitely not the best Peruvian food on the island, and I would hope not even for this area.

I dont know so much about food, but my wife does, and she LOVE this restaurant, especially their beef stomach, and many other dishes. When it come to food - trust her judgment!
